What is Dharakoot?

Dharakoot is a commerce platform for India's heritage and Geographical Indication (GI) craft products, organised state by state — connecting buyers directly with farmers, artisans and collectives.

What is a GI tag?

A Geographical Indication (GI) is a legal sign that a product comes from a specific place and has qualities, reputation or characteristics due to that place — for example, Darjeeling Tea, Kanchipuram Silk or Pashmina. India has over 800 registered GIs.

Are your products authentic?

We source directly from artisan communities, cooperatives, self-help groups, Farmer Producer Organisations and artisan collectives. Products described as GI-tagged are presented on the basis of GI registration records and the producer's status. Because products are handmade, minor variations are natural.

How do I place an order?

Browse a state showroom or a product page, add items to your cart, and check out. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Cards (including RuPay), UPI, NetBanking and wallets — through Razorpay.

How long does delivery take?

See our Shipping Policy. Orders are dispatched within a few business days of payment confirmation, and delivery within India typically takes a few more days depending on your location.

What if my item arrives damaged or wrong?

See our Refund and Returns Policy. Email us within the reporting window with your order number and photos, and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

What is a Dharakoot Experience?

A two-day immersive field journey where you learn a craft directly from the artisan and live the place it comes from — priced at ₹3,000 per person. After booking, you report to the collaborating institution, which confirms your date and curates your journey. A Certificate of Experience is issued after completion and report-back.

How do I sell my craft on Dharakoot as a producer?
